Fahrdynamic Automobile AG, installed by xinfra gmbh
Fahrdynamic Automobile AG is a garage, body shop, sheet metal shop, and paint shop with locations in Gipf-Oberfrick, Münchwilen, and Däniken. The owner-managed company, with 21 employees, offers a full range of automotive services and represents seven car brands.
Why did Fahrdynamic Automobile AG, which operates at three locations, consolidate its two phone systems?
Before merging the two phone systems, we had a patchwork setup and the resulting connection issues between the three locations. The goal was therefore to simplify this structure as much as possible and assign a single person to be responsible for the phone system.
Did you have any specific requirements for the new phone system?
A key requirement was that the phone system work at every location. As managing director, I’m often on the road and can be found at the various locations, so I always carry a wireless phone with me. It needed to work as flawlessly as possible and allow me to view and coordinate staff availability and absences with minimal effort.
Why did you choose xinfra as your installation partner and peoplefone as your phone provider?
I met Marc Fischer from xinfra at an event in town—through good old-fashioned networking. During our conversation, he told me more about his company, xinfra, and then recommended peoplefone. In addition to their regional presence, both companies also stood out in terms of price.
What do you consider to be the most important new features and advantages of the new peoplefone system compared to the old one?
The most important innovations relate to the simplified coordination and management of vacation and holiday absences, as well as personalized internal and external communication, regardless of location. All employees have access to the phone directory and can benefit from the full scope of the system at any time.
How did the staff respond to the new solution, and how did the initial training go?
The training was good and helpful. The new solution was received differently by each individual and required a certain adjustment period. By now, the new phone system has been widely accepted, even though problems still occur sporadically. However, these are all attributable to the Gigaset phone.
How important were the preparatory steps (network upgrade) carried out by xinfra and peoplefone?
Looking back, we initially based our plans on incorrect expectations and assumptions. My primary goal was to adjust the phone connectivity options, not the network itself. It wasn’t clear from the start that the network upgrade was a necessary prerequisite for this.
Are you satisfied with the new peoplefone HOSTED phone system, ten months after it went live?
Initially, we had the problem that we were using the wrong devices, which were incompatible. Since this problem was resolved, the phone system has been very stable, and I’m more than satisfied with it. Occasional issues are attributable either to the phones or the cloud solution.
What impressed you most about working with peoplefone and xinfra?
What convinced me right from the start was that we could work with a local partner. The concentrated expertise regarding the transition from an analog to a digital phone system was also a key factor. This enables us to achieve cost savings in the medium and long term. On top of that, the support is now a bit better than before.
