Mobile and Landline Services from a Single Provider
The family-owned company JUDO was founded in Düsseldorf in 1936. The company is a pioneer in the field of water treatment. Its products include, among others, protective filters as well as water softening and limescale prevention systems. Since 2010, JUDO has been represented in Switzerland with a branch featuring its own independent sales and customer service organization. The branch in Liestal (BL) currently employs 16 people. JUDO also has branches in Austria, France, Belgium, and Canada.
JUDO has been using peoplefone for its phone service since July 2024. Why were you looking for a new phone service provider?
Our old system had reached the end of its life cycle; the hardware was already 14 years old. That’s why we were looking for a new comprehensive solution that offers both landline and mobile telephony. I wasn’t familiar with peoplefone before, but one of our suppliers recommended the installation company xinfra, which in turn suggested peoplefone as a partner.
What ultimately convinced you to work with peoplefone and xinfra?
We had good discussions right from the start. We were also impressed by peoplefone’s value for money. So far, I’m very satisfied. Everything is running really well, and the support team is knowledgeable, straightforward, and always available.
Why did you choose a 3CX phone system?
Our IT is managed by our parent company in Germany, and the security requirements are very strict. Therefore, it was important that the new virtual solution meet these requirements. xinfra provided us with excellent advice in this regard and recommended 3CX as a suitable system. Another requirement on our part was that our office staff be able to make calls via their screens and with headsets, while our technicians could continue to work with their iPads.
You mentioned it: When you switched to peoplefone, you also ported your mobile numbers, so your employees now make calls using both peoplefone landline and mobile services. How satisfied are you with the new setup?
To be honest, we were a bit skeptical at first about whether it would all work. After all, we’re one of the first peoplefone customers to use this service. But I can say that everyone likes the new setup and it works perfectly. We’re getting the performance we need with the Europe-wide data allowance, and calls work flawlessly on all the devices we use: computers with headsets, iPads, and cell phones.
What specific requirements does your company have for its phone system?
We need to be reachable around the clock, so calls on weekends and holidays are forwarded to our two on-call numbers. This call forwarding is already set up in the new system, but it has to be activated manually each time. In addition, our employees appreciate knowing who is available or away and when. This is clearly visible in the 3CX solution.
How did the transition go? Did your employees notice any changes?
The transition went off without a hitch. After we received the SIM cards, I notified our employees via email. They then carried out the transition on their own, which went smoothly in the vast majority of cases.
