What prompted you to switch to a new telephony solution?
Our existing Lynx telephony system needed to be replaced because it was outdated and no longer up to date. Since we at ricardo.ch recently switched to G Suite, we also wanted to move our phone system to the cloud. That’s why we looked for the simplest and most flexible solution possible for traditional landline phone service.
How did the transition go?
The transition went very quickly and smoothly. It took less than four weeks from ordering to go-live. That’s not something to be taken for granted with 100 users. ITIGO guided us very well through the migration process. We always knew what the next steps and critical points were.
What was perhaps a bit unusual was that we wanted to handle much of the transition ourselves. We have a strong in-house IT team and wanted to build up the necessary expertise for future operations right away. The team at ITIGO was open to this, and they provided us with excellent training and support. Of course, the easy-to-understand management system of peoplefone HOSTED was also a huge help.
Weren’t there any difficulties at all?
Yes! Our two multifunction printers, which are also used as fax machines, initially refused to cooperate. However, the manufacturer was able to resolve the issue in time, thanks in no small part to the expertise of ITIGO and peoplefone. How was the collaboration during the proposal phase, the implementation, and the post-implementation support between you, peoplefone, and the peoplefone partner, ITIGO?
The collaboration was great right from the start! ITIGO quickly understood our needs and provided us with a clear proposal in no time. What was especially great was that we received a fully functional test environment along with the proposal, allowing us to see the scope of services and quality for ourselves. During and even after implementation, ITIGO was always available and helpful. They proactively supported us not only with technical issues but also with administrative matters. We had little contact with peoplefone, but even then, we were always assisted in a friendly and competent manner. The project and the collaboration were truly enjoyable.
How satisfied are you with your current telephony solution?
We’re very satisfied. Everything works as intended.
Was the switch worth it?
Yes, definitely. With peoplefone HOSTED, we’re much more flexible than before and can use whichever device is best suited for the task—whether that’s a softphone, a smartphone app, or a “real” phone. Last but not least, it’s also 25% cheaper than our previous solution.
